GB Movers
has successfully moved thousands of families all over
Europe starting as far back as 1970. Since Britain
joined the Common Market, and the subsequent ending
of cross border controls. This has certainly made
the job a lot easier, GB's experience and expertise
gained in those early years places us in good stead
for today’s market.
GB has a regular door-to-door service covering all
of Europe, we collect from all of mainland Britain.
Whether you have just a few items or a complete house
we can pack, collect and redeliver to any European
destination.

Call 01753 866481 and speak directly to an experienced
estimator, list and describe your items, advise us
of your locality and desired destination, choose to
deliver to our UK depot or have us arrange collection
- the estimator will provide you with an immediate
quotation - it’s as easy as that.
All prices are backed by the 'GB Price Promise'.
Call 01753 866481 and speak directly to an experienced
estimator, discuss your requirements and book an appointment
for an estimator to come to your home for a survey
followed by a written quotation.
We stock a vast variety of packing materials from
acid free paper (it doesn't mark), bubble wrap, cushion
wrap, several sizes of cartons from book to hanging
clothes size, flat picture/mirror packs, tailored
bags for beds/mattresses and lounge suites and paper
blankets for wrapping furniture in your home prior
to loading on to our vehicle.
Of course, if you would rather pack yourself then
GB will loan all the packing boxes you need, plus
advise on how best to pack.
Should you require storage we have our own storage
facility.
If you have large, delicate or unusual items that
you are worried about having moved, do not panic.
At GB we've moved it all. Grand pianos through upstairs
windows (without a crane), marble statues, chandeliers,
a life size horse bronze (all the way to Spain), are
just a few examples. Put us to the test.
At GB we pride ourselves on the quality of our staff,
we never use agency staff, we only employ people that
have been trained by ourselves so you the customer
can feel at ease with 'big strong lads' working in
your home, with a degree of sensitivity and humour,
greater than you would have expected.

Since January 2006 the way Goods in transit insurance
is charged within the removal industry has changed
due to new legislation. GB no longer charges insurance
separately, this is now included in to your quotation.
For UK moves all the customer has to do is provide
us with an overall gross valuation of their effects.
For international moves the customer is required to
fill in a valuation form provided by GB.
Should you be emigrating to the USA,
Australia, South Africa etc, your household effects
will have to be shipped via our container service.
On your initial phone call to GB you will speak directly
to an experienced estimator who will answer your questions
and explain our comprehensive moving service. At the
same time you can make an appointment for an estimator
to visit your home to complete a survey and discuss
your requirements. This will be followed by a written
quotation backed with our 'GB Price Promise'.
If you wish to take it easy on moving day then our
packing team will come to your property a day prior
to your removal (or sooner if required) and pack your
entire house contents in preparation for the move
itself.. A full unpacking service is also available
if required.
Containers come in two sizes, 20 foot (usually big
enough for a 2/3 bedroom house) and 40 foot for larger
consignments. Our estimator will be able to advise
which size of container you will require.
You can choose to have your own container if you
wish, the benefits being that you can have the container
packed outside your home at your required date and
the transit time will be as short as possible.
Should you not have too much to ship sharing a container
is the most economic option.
The packing and service are the same but following
packing of your effects they will be removed to our
warehouse and consolidated with other consignments
in to a container sharing your destination .
The transit time is consequently a couple of weeks
longer but the savings are considerable.
GB have a long established network of worldwide agents
to handle the receipt and re-delivery to your new
home destination.
With international shipping Goods in transit insurance
is charged separately as a percentage of valuation
usually at around 2 percent dependant on destination.
